My Experiences of the "ACGC 2008" Event.

Well, I'm really sorry for not posting about this post way earlier, and thanks to Lawrence's dad for providing me transport to and fro. Here goes my story.

Last month, there was an event titled "ACGC 2008" (ANIME, COMIC, GAME CONVENTION) which was held for 2 days, from 27th - 28th of Sept. 2008, at the MVEC Hall in Midvalley Megamall. This event started from 10 am till 9 pm... and yes, both Lawrence and me were there during this event's 2 days. ^^

And oh yes, a lot of photos were definitely taken by me and Lawrence, using my dad's digital camera. ^^

On the 1st day of this event, after his dad picked me up from my house etc, after we finally reached the shopping mall's entrance, we then walked to that hall to see how the situation's like... well, since we went in so early there wasn't anything attractive to see yet, as the booths are currently set up. So, we waited until all the stuff was set up then we went in.

~> Me, infront of the hall where the event took place. ^^ (Thanks, Lawrence for taking this pic.)

After we went in again, there were various booths, ranging from booths that specialises in selling anime-related merchandise and booths which promote both current and new online games alike. There is even a booth specially for the 'Nintendo Wii' game system. It was quite fun to see Lawrence play on that 'board' thing, which really made me LOL since he told me he's a 'shoe magnet', and he was right. hahaz

~> 1 of the many booths in this event, which specialises in anime-related merchandise.)

~> A close-up look of those character plushie toys at that booth.

Well, this particular event also hosts the 'Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" game competition, and he was planning to join it, but the competition wasn't started so early... so we then decided to hit the arcades for some fun and kill some time. We played some of those arcade games like 'Daytona USA' and 'Let's Go Jungle'. It was fun playing both of those games, but we didn't plan to complete the 'Let's Go Jungle' game on this event's 1st day (we did complete the whole game on this event's 2nd day though. ^^)

In the Anime aspect of this event, it was quite disappointing for both of us (well, mostly me... anyways) since there weren't much cosplayers on this event's 1st day, but since I'm already here, I gotta do what I gotta do: Take cosplayer's pics! ^^ ~hahaz~

Here are some of the cosplayer's pics which I managed to snap. ^^

~> 'Axel' cosplayer, of "Organisation XIII" fame. ^^

~> 'Kurosaki Ichigo' cosplayer, of the popular "Bleach" anime. ^^

~> 'Luffy' cosplayer (One Piece anime) wearing Ichigo Kurosaki's Hollow mask? lolz

Around noon to night time, the 'Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" game competition started and Lawrence's turn was finally up. Some of the participants in this competition are from gaming clans and he was challenging 1 of them. So, I gave him words of support while he was playing. After the competition, we then played for a while in the arcade then both of us then went back home.

On the way back, he told me that the 2nd day of this event would be more exciting, since there will be a Cosplay competition... and yes, the 2nd day of this event was definitely better than the 1st day... since I took lots of pics of cosplayers and other stuff on that day. ^^

That's all I've to say about the 1st day of this event for now. I might publish a post about my experiences on the 2nd day of this event, if I've the time to do so. See ya!

A seemingly tiring day...

Well, today I basically spend some time in the 'DotCom 8' cyber cafe with Lawrence. Around 2 pm-ish, we both had lunch at McDonald's then both of us returned to that cyber cafe around 3 pm. Then, as before... I played the 'Speed Racing' application on Facebook.

After that, me and Lawrence then went to the AniMac club meeting at 4 pm. The agenda of the meeting was the 'Bon Odori Event' which will be held next year, during the month of March (5th of March). Of all the respective groups which are available to help make this event happen, I decided to join the 'Exhibition' group (since I'm able to design certain things) and provide some extra help to the people who're in charge of the 'Games' group. Hopefully I can attend this particular event next year!!! ^^

That's all I've to say for now. I'll be updating my blog with more updates soon! See ya!

An Awesome day!

I really had an awesome day today!!! ^^

Well, because Melissa (who's 1 of my ex-school friends) decided to hang out with me at the college that I'm studying at (which is UCSI).

Both of us agreed we'll meet each other at the 'Secret Recipe' food outlet around 12 pm. So, I plan to reach my college around 12 pm-ish. After I've reach there, I walked towards that food outlet to see whether she was there, but she was nowhere to be seen. I then decided to go to the 'Dotcom 8' cyber cafe and see whether my college friends were there or not, and yes, 2 of my college friends were there - Lawrence and Shaun, who were playing away at their games. Since she seems not to be here yet, I decided to join them for a fun and car-crashing game of FlatOut 2's 'Derby' mode. It's a 3-Way Free-For-All Derby! lolz
(It was fun, beating them for 3 times in-a-row!!! woohoo XD)

After a few rounds of awesome car-crashing, since Melissa didn't arrive yet... we both exchanged sms'es, she told me she would be coming 10 minutes later, so we decided to continue playing some more rounds, until she finally arrived. Finally! Now, it's a
4-Way Rumble Free-For-All Derby!!! lolz
(We all really had fun, crashing each other's cars with lots of force. XD)

After several rounds, Melissa decided to play another game instead (which is GTA: San Andreas)... so did Shaun, so it was very funny as Lawrence and me saw her and Shaun playing this game. lolz

Around 1:30 pm-ish, all of us left the cyber cafe. Shaun left us since he decided to go somewhere with his friend (I think)... Now, it's just Lawrence, me, and Melissa. Actually, Lawrence wanted to drag Melissa along to watch the anime screenings (Lawrence and me are members of the Anime Club) but then Melissa and me are actually hungry so we decided to eat at 'Secret Recipe'. Lawrence decided to go for the anime screenings instead, so he couldn't join Melissa and me for lunch (since I can go for the anime screenings some other time...).

Melissa ordered a spaghetti-style dish (Costs RM 13.50) while I ordered a 'Chicken Lasagna' dish
(Costs RM 13.50). We both ordered mineral water as our drinks but it was very expensive, as it costed RM 2.50 each... =.=

I treated her a slice of cake that's 1 of her favourites, which is 'Yogurt Cheese Cake'. She thanked me for this sweet treat. hehe

Overall, we both enjoyed our meals very much, eventhough I couldn't believe our drinks was so expensive, but I definitely really had an awesome day today, with the company of Melissa and 2 of my college friends... ^^

> 'Chicken Lasagne', with a piece of bread bun on the side. ^^

> 'Chicken Lasagne'. Looks tempting and it smells NICE!!! ^^

> Thanks, Melissa... for taking this picture of me and my delicious meal! ^^

After we had our delicious meals, we then go spend an hour or so in another cyber cafe, since the 'Dotcom 8' cyber cafe was full (and both of us also going home at 4 pm). We surfed our own 'Facebook' pages and played 'GTA: San Andreas'.

After all that, then my 'escort' (who's a friend of me and my mom) arrived around 4 pm-ish, I told my mom (the 'escort' picked her up) since she had no other choice to go home other by walking, my mom agreed to allow our 'escort' to fetch her home 1st (since her house's nearby my college), before fetching us home.

Overall, as mentioned in the 1st sentence of this blog post:
I really had an awesome day today!!! ^^

And, I just want to say thanks to Melissa, Lawrence and Shaun since you guys really made my day Awesome and full of fun! I really hope that we can have do this fun stuff again... hehez ^^

That's all I've to say for now. I'll be updating my blog with more updates soon! See ya!

Double 9.

September 9th, 2008
Happy Birthday, mom!!! :) (I already wished her on that day... ^^)

Well, Sept. 9 was my mom's birthday... so I decided to bring her out to Leisure Mall to celebrate her birthday. After her 1 hour of exercising at 'Fitness First', we then had our dinner at the 'Vietnam Kitchen' food outlet. Me and my mom ordered the same dish, which is
'Parisian Grilled Chicken' dish (Costs RM16.90, comes with 'Red Bubble' drink)... since she wanted to try this delicious dish out. ^^

I'm really happy that she really enjoyed this particular dish so much! ^^

> My mom! I wanna thank you for the help and support that you've provided me since the day I was born!!! ^^

> It seems like you're really enjoying your meal of 'Parisian Grilled Chicken'! ^^

After we had a delightful meal, we then bought some stuff at the supermarket and some mooncakes... hehez

After all that, we then went back home.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 2 pictures which I took below are the pictures of the 'Mid-Autumn Festival' decorations in Leisure Mall, which looks really wonderful in my opinion. :)

Well... around last week Saturday, I brought my mom out to the Cheras 'Leisure Mall' around 9 am-ish, because she wanted to go for her exercising programmes in the 'Fitness First' exercising facility. Since she would be in there for roughly more than 2 hours, I decided to kill some time by going to the local gaming arcade there, and play some of its racing games.

1 of the racing games which I played was "Ridge Racer 2", and I actually managed to get 1st place for my very 1st time in this particular game (in that track, I usually get 2nd place), because of the AI cars, it's just 'unbearable'... (well... for me, anyway. =.=)

> 1ST PLACE!!! Finally! ^^

After my mom had finished her 'about 2 hours' exercising, we then had our lunch at the 'Vietnam Kitchen' food outlet. I decided to try the 'Parisian Grilled Chicken' dish (Costs RM16.90, I think), which actually comes with a free drink titled 'Red Bubble' (which is actually a mixture of Ribena and Sprite with lime). Can't remember what my mom had ordered, though.

> 'Parisian Grilled Chicken', with a generous serving of mashed potatoes and garlic bread on the side. ^^

This dish was really delicious, and I really like how it tasted. You should try this dish out, people!

> The 'Red Bubble' drink which I ordered. Tastes radical! lol

After all that, we then went back home.

That's all I've to say for now. I'll be updating my blog with more updates soon! See ya!

Oh-so Tuesday.

Well, today's pretty much another typical day for me... which I did my task of bringing out my my mom to visit my grandmother who's currently residing in that old folk's home. The weather around the time when we're just about to go out seemed like it was going to rain heavily... at least we were able to reach there before the rain started pouring heavily. -whew-

After visiting my grandmother, since it was around dinner time... my mom decided that we should have our dinner at
the "Jusco Cheras Selatan" shopping mall again (as this shopping mall is the closest shopping mall to my home) , because it was still raining, I have no choice but to agree with her.

My mom and me both decided that we should try out Restoran Johnny's food outlet, which specialises in steamboat-style eating, since we really didn't have a steamboat-style meal for a very long time now... hehez

The selection of different foods for the steamboat was decent (since we ordered a 2 people's set meal) and the soup that's used for the steamboat was actually okay, since it has a peppery taste which makes it oh-so-lovely. ^^

As for the drinks,
my mom ordered 'Ice lemon tea' while I ordered 'Coke'.

> The steamboat pot and the trays of different foods.

> The steamboat pot, now loaded with the 1st round of foods.

> Emm, smells very nice! Tastes very good too! ^^

> The steamboat pot, now loaded with the 2nd round of foods.

Overall, we really enjoyed our steamboat-style meal... and hopefully we can come to dine at this food outlet again... ^^

That's all I've to say for now. I'll be updating my blog with more updates soon! See ya!

The start of a new month, Sept.

It's the 2nd month of an assignment-free holiday for me, so I really hope that I can really enjoy my 3 months worth of assignment-free holidays as much as I can... hehez

On the very 1st day of this month which is yesterday, I brought my mom to the "Jusco Cheras Selatan" shopping mall in Balakong... because she wanted her new bought handbag to be fixed or something (can't really remember).

Anyways, after that... we then had our dinner in Food & Tea Hong Kong' outlet. My mom ordered a HK-style claypot dish (costs RM 7.90) while I ordered 'Cheese baked rice with Chicken Chop' (costs RM 12.30) , which is my most preferred 'cheese baked rice with meat' dish. lol

> 'Cheese baked rice with Chicken Chop'. Looks CHEESI-LICIOUS!^^

As for the side order, me and my mom ordered ordered a quick tasty appetizer which is 'man tao' (bite-sized pieces of crispy bread buns), that's served with a mixture of sweet and sour crab meat (Costs RM 3.80).

> 'Man tao' with sweet and sour crab meat.

For drinks, both of us ordered a freshly made 'Iced lemon tea', which costs RM 4.20 a pop, and I'll definitely recommend you guys to try this drink out, because it really is a cooling and refreshing drink! =)

> Freshly made 'Iced lemon tea'
. Ahhh, really refreshing indeed! ^^

After all that, we then went back home around 7 pm-ish.

Well... since now's the month of September, 1 of the many occasions that has already started in this month is the 'Mid-Autumn Festival' (sometimes referred to as the Lantern Festival or Mooncake Festival), and the traditional food of this festival is the mooncake, of which there are many different varieties. They're usually eaten in small wedges, and is normally accompanied by Chinese tea.

> An example of 1 of the many different types of moon cakes.

I really hope that all of my Chinese friends and their family members will gather to admire the bright-mid autumn harvest moon, and eat mooncakes and pomeloes together in a peaceful surrounding. ^^

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below are the pictures of The 'Mid-Autumn Festival' decorations in the
"Jusco Cheras Selatan" shopping mall, that I took using my HP's camera.

That's all I've to say for now. I'll be updating my blog with more updates soon! See ya, and I'm wishing that all of my dear Chinese friends will have a memorable and enjoyable 'Mid-Autumn Festival'! ^^

Selamat Hari MERDEKA, Malaysia!!!

Since today's the day (31st August) which marks the most historical event of Malaysia's freedom from the British invaders which used to rule our beloved land, I just want to say this statement out loud:

Selamat Hari MERDEKA, MALAYSIA!!!

TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN: "MERDEKA! MERDEKA! MERDEKA!"

Enjoy this song, my dear friends!

Here in My Home - Malaysian Artistes For Unity

On a side note, I want to wish a very big HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY to my dear friend 'Bernard', whose birthday is also on the same day as our beloved country's 'Independence Day'. ^^

That's all I've to say for now. I'll be updating my blog with more updates soon! See ya!

Viva la Sat-ur-day.

Well, this Saturday's pretty much another typical day for me... I went out with my mom (not taxi, I drove my car.) to visit my grandmother who's currently residing in an old folk's home named "Mother's Nursing Home" (The days which I do this task is random).

After a few hours there, my mom decided that she wants to go to the "Jusco Cheras Selatan" shopping mall in Balakong... so I brought her there. My mom told me that she had a craving for Japanese food, so we decided to eat at the 'Ichiban Ramen' food outlet, after I've parked my car of course.

My mom ordered the 'Katsu Don' meal while I ordered the usual 'Unagi Don' (Rice dish served with eel meat, costs RM 19) which I usually like to eat, while both of us ordered the same drink... which is 'Ice-blended Coffee with ice-cream' (costs RM 6.50).

> Unagi Don. Looks deliciously delicious... lol

> The 'Ice-blended Coffee with ice-cream' drink that my mom and me ordered.

We decided to try the 'Gyōza' (costs RM 9) that they serve here... since it looks appetising, (both of us were really hungry around this time) and that this is my 1st time eating this. ^^

> Japanese-style 'Gyōza'. Looks appetizing indeed. ^^

According to Wikipedia,

"Jiaozi (Chinese transliteration), gyōza (Japanese transliteration), or mandu (Korean), is a Chinese dumpling, widely popular in China, Japan, and Korea as well as outside of East Asia, particularly in the United States.

Jiaozi typically consist of a ground meat and/or vegetable filling wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough, which is then sealed by pressing the edges together or by crimping.

The most prominent differences of Japanese-style gyōza from Chinese style jiaozi are the rich garlic flavor, which is less noticeable in the Chinese version, and the fact that Japanese-style gyōza are very lightly flavored with salt, soy, and that the Gyoza wrappers are much thinner than the Chinese counterpart..."

And yes, the 'rich garlic flavor' part of the Gyōza is 100% true, tested by me. hehez

After a really fulfiling Japanese meal, my mom then went to do her own shopping while I kill some time by playing some games in the arcade, until she's done. Then, my mom decided to buy some Auntie Anne's pretzels. Woohoo! Auntie Anne's pretzels are DELI-CIOUS!!! When we arrived at this outlet's counter that time, I couldn't help but notice that there's a plate of tid-bits of Auntie Anne's Coffee-flavoured pretzels. So, I tasted 1 of those and boy, it was really good! My mom bought 2 Cinnamon-flavoured pretzels and 1 Sour cream and onion-flavoured pretzel (The usual flavours of Auntie Anne's pretzels that both of us like ^^).

> Tid-bits of Auntie Anne's Coffee-flavoured pretzels. TASTY n SHWEET! ^o^

After all that, we then went back home around 6.30 pm.

> Auntie Anne's Cinnamon-flavoured pretzels. Sugary goodness! lol

That's all I've to say for now. I'll be updating my blog with more updates soon! See ya!

My day today...

I couldn't believe that I actually woke up around 3 pm today, because I went to bed around 6:30 am-ish earlier this morning... =.=* Insomnia much? O.o

Stayed pretty much at home today, didn't go anywhere. Hopefully I can go somewhere to have fun with my dear friends, because I just feel so bored at home doing nothing else but mostly online-ing and stuff.

Oh yeah, 1 more thing... the "Sweet Child O' Mine" song by the popular rock band Guns N' Roses definitely is still a rock song that's worth listening to eventhough now's the 21st century! This song will definitely be 1 of my many fave songs, among others... and 1980's rock music F.T.W (For The Win)!

Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses

That's all I can say for now. I'll be updating my blog with more updates soon! See ya!

Really funny parody trailers.

Based on the trailer for the "Dark Knight" movie for those of you guys who have already watched it before watching the full movie itself, I discovered a parody (a funny version) of this cool trailer which is actually shown on an episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (On Star World, Channel 70). In this trailer, the 'Batman' is acted by a guy who is widely known as 'Guillermo', is a talk show personality who rose to fame while working as a parking lot security guard at the El Capitan Theatre for American late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live. He quickly became a permanent, nightly cast-member after performing satisfactorily in comedy bits written by the show.

Here's the parody video of Guillermo acting as 'Batman'. It's really darn funny! hahaz

Here's another parody video of Guillermo acting as 'Jason Bourne' in the "Bourne Ultimatum" trailer, on the same show. It's also really darn funny! hahaz

These parody trailers are funny to watch, if you guys don't mind the *beeped* words and the censored nudity (which only appears for a brief moment). That's all I can say for now. I'll be updating my blog with more updates soon! Adios, amigos!

4 Months of Holidays and Random stuffz...

Since the end of August, I'm actually having a really long sem break (4 months, to be exact) from this month until Jan of next year, and the thing with a 4-month long sem break for me is that eventhough I'm mostly free all the time, I just feel BORED, yes, BORED (well, online-ing can't really kill my boredom)... because there's practically nothing at all that I can actually do nowadays which in turn makes me feel bored...

I really don't have to say much in this post, but I really hope that I can really enjoy my 4 months worth of holidays till I resume my studies in Jan of next year.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Random Stuffz Time! (that I like... hehez)

I'm actually putting up a video and the lyrics of the song that I currently like, which is:

"I'm Yours", by 'Jason Mraz'

Lyrics:

Well you done done me and you bet I felt it

I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted

I fell right through the cracks

and now I'm trying to get back

Before the cool done run out

I'll be giving it my bestest

Nothing's going to stop me but divine intervention

I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some

But I won't hesitate no more, no more

It cannot wait, I'm yours

Well open up your mind and see like me

Open up your plans and damn you're free

Look into your heart and you'll find love love love love

Listen to the music of the moment people dance and sing

We're just one big family

And it's our God-forsaken right to be loved love loved love loved

So I won't hesitate no more, no more

It cannot wait I'm sure

There's no need to complicate

Our time is short

This is our fate, I'm yours

Scooch closer dear

and I will nibble your ear

I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror

And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer

My breath fogged up the glass

And so I drew a new face and laughed

I guess what i be saying is there ain't no better reason

To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons

It's what we aim to do

Our name is our virtue

I won't hesitate no more, no more

It cannot wait I'm sure

There's no need to complicate

Our time is short

This is our fate, I'm yours

Well no no, well open up your mind and see like me

Open up your plans and damn you're free

Look into your heart and you'll find the sky is yours

Listen to the music of the moment come and dance with me

A lá one big family (2nd time: A lá happy family; 3rd time: A lá peaceful melody)

It's your God-forsaken right to be loved love love love

I won't hesitate no more, no more

It cannot wait, I'm sure

There's no need to complicate

Our time is short

This is our fate, I'm yours

No please, don't complicate

Our time is short

This is our fate, I'm yours

No please, don't hesitate

no more, no more

My excursion trip to Malacca. Woohoo!

Well, today's the day I'll be going on a college excursion trip to Malacca, and I'm actually quite excited about it... since this is my 1st time ever visiting a place like Malacca. haha
(This trip costs RM135, but in my opinion... it's quite worth it since it's for 3 days and 2 nights and that the fact I can get to see
Malacca... haha)

The hotel that the other college students and me will be staying in is 'Hotel Puri', and I really hope that this hotel is fairly decent and not that lousy. The method of transport to Malacca is by bus, so it will be definitely an hour's journey or more.

The places that're listed on the trip's 'To visit' list are:
  • -> Baba Nyonya Museum Heritage
  • -> Masjid Kampung Kling
  • -> Cheng Hoon Teng Temple
  • -> Sri Poyyatha Vinayagar Moorthi Temple
  • -> Red Building
  • -> Studhuys Building
  • -> Malacca Museum
  • -> The popular Kota A' Famosa
  • -> Portuguese settlement
I'll definitely take some photos of these mentioned places (if I've the chance) and I'll upload them here, once I've arrived back in KL by this coming Friday. I really hope that I can enjoy myself during this wonderful trip. ^^

(UPDATE!!!)

Sorry for the lack of updating this particular topic, I've been really BUSY lately... Well, I'm back from such an amazing and wonderful trip to Malacca and I'd like to share my experience when I was in Malacca... hehe. Well here it goes!

[WEDNESDAY, 23/7/2008]
Went to college at 7 am, waited until 8:40 am-ish before the bus finally arrived. Sat on the bus, and as The Joker said: "And here we GO." hehe

> A pose of me and Andrew in the bus while the bus' on its way to Malacca. ^^

While the bus' still on its way, it took me and all the Foundation in Architecture students to the 'Mini Malaysia' place, which seems like a really popular place.

> The entrance to the 'Mini Malaysia'.

After the entrance, this place actually has 14 traditional Malay houses of each state, and those houses were definitely unique in their own way. And yes, I did go inside to some of the houses.

> This particular stair in this traditional Malay house is really STEEP, I tell you. ^^

> Me and my 2 friends, Idris and Andrew. Nice farmer hat you got there, Andrew! ^^

> Me and my friends - Hashim, Idris, Grace, Rashin, and Wakil . ^^

> Me and my friends - Andrew, Hashim, Idris, Rashin, and Mathen . ^^

Around 2 pm-ish , we're then treated to a wonderful cultural dance performance. The performances by the dancers were really quite amazing. The comedy act, which is also a part of the performance really made me and as the audience laugh, as it was so funny.

> One of the 3 dancers in the humorous comedy act of the performance. ^^

After the performances, the audience were given chances to take photographs. Imagine how many people would be in the photo? All the Foundation in Architecture students (senior and new) as well as the tourists... Boy, it's a big photoshoot!

> Architecture Group Big Photoshoot!!! hahaz ^^

After all that, we sat back on the bus and we continue the way to Malacca until we finally reached the Hotel Puri. Finally!!! This hotel is actually nice and amazing!!! My room-mates were Andrew, Matthew and See Hui.

Later at night, I went out with Andrew and Matthew + their friends and experience the night life of Malacca. We walked around and around till we decided to eat at a typical Malacca food court. Since Matthew recommended the fried oyster which actually tastes better here, I decided to give it a try... it wasn't that bad, quite good and tasty actually. =P

[THURSDAY, 24/7/2008]
After a quite comfortable sleep, I went down to have breakfast with friends. Actually, the places
that're listed on the trip's 'To visit' list, we've to go there by ourselves (oh well). Anyways, I decided to follow Andrew, Grace with her friend, Loh to some of the various popular places that Malacca has to offer - especially the famed Kota A' Famosa and others. We first visited the St. Paul's Church, and this building still looks remarkable until today.

> St. Paul's Church.

> St. Paul's Church (Interior Part 1).

After checking the St. Paul's Church out, we then walked along until we've finally reached to the marvelous Kota A' Famosa! My 1st impression when I finally saw this historical landmark was "Woah!"

> The rear view of the Kota A' Famosa.

> Me, in front of the Kota A' Famosa. ^^ (Look how small I'm, compared to the entrance of this landmark.)

> A perspective view of the Kota A' Famosa.

> Another nice group photo of me and my friends - Andrew, Loh, Idris, Grace, Hashim, and Behnia.^^ (Clockwise: From Andrew to Behnia)

After checking this marvelous landmark out, we then went to the 'Dutch Square'. In the picture below, Malacca's 'Christ Church' can be seen on the right.

> A paronamic view of the atmosphere in Dutch Square. (When I was about to take this pic, I noticed a trishaw cyclist was going along this road. So I decided to snap a nice photo with him included and this photo turned out beautifully, as it manages to capture Malacca's modern lifestyle. ^^)

Then, I followed Grace and her friend Loh to another place called 'Cheng Hoon Teng Temple'. The only thing I can say about this place is that it's a fairly nice religious place.

-> The entrance to 'Cheng Hoon Teng Temple'. The level of detail on the various small Chinese figures that're on top of the roof is just amazing!

After a wonderful (and tired) day of sightseeing, since Grace recommended to me that the 'Durian cendol' here is a must-try, we then went to a local dessert shop which specializes in this popular dessert. After my very 1st bite of the durian cendol, wow, I've the "this dessert is very sweet" feeling. ^^ We then went walked back to the hotel and we took some rest, since we just went sightseeing.

> Durian cendol... Looks tempting, eh? ^^

> Bukit 'Durian cendol'. hahaz

Later at night, after my room-mate Andrew and me had enough rest we then met up with Grace, and then we walked around the peaceful yet lively Malacca town to find a food place which specializes in 'Lok Lok' ("Sate celup" in Malay). While we're on the way there, we stumbled upon a place named "Cheng Ho Tea House" which has an unusual entrance. We decided to enter it then we kept walking down a long but not-too-narrow pathway. Once we reached the end of that pathway, the interior of this particular place is actually wondrous as the interior of this place is secluded from the outside. We then tried the jasmine tea that they served here and it was really refreshing!

> Me, Andrew and Grace at the "Cheng Ho Tea House". ^^

After a really refreshing cup of jasmine tea, we then walked and walked until we finally reached the destination which specializes in 'Lok Lok'. In this restaurant, we can get to choose which skewered foods you want to dip in that sauce-filled pot, as you can see in the picture below. For me, tasting 'Lok Lok' is not really that bad actually... it's fairly decent. hehez

(Nothing interesting was noted on Friday because we went back home on Friday.)

Overall, the experience that I've had in Malacca with my college friends was definitely really a memorable one. Eventhough it was short (3 days 2 nights trip), but it was really worth it, as I managed to see many of Malacca's marvelous landmarks and that I found Malacca to be way much more peaceful than KL. That's all I've to say about this memorable trip, and I really hope that I can visit this place once more... ^^
